I am not yet certain if my stream is 3D as I am just getting my new i7 macbook and Finalcut X this next week to test edit my 3D stuff.

Just tested 3d JVC camera with Atomos Ninja
I have just recorded a test with my Atomos Ninja which I aquired to use with the Lumix GH2 cameras I have 2 of these. The ninja has a neat little lanc control loop through feature that I hope to use to shoot 3D with paired the GH2 cameras. The control L allows me to sync my HDMI to apple prores recorders. As a side test I plugged my 3d JVC GS TD1 camera into my Ninja in recording into apple prores 422 and it records perfectly.

How are you going with all of this? Have you been having a look at the discussions and developments at the GH2 Hack info page?
ReplyDeleteThere is quite allot of discussion regarding the quality of the GH2 HDMI output- not to mention that currently there is no way of synchronizing the two cameras (no genlock). I have checked out the GH2 with HDMI output- and the video is not correctly sent to the HDMI terminal. If you want any more info- PM me.
